Entry time: 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM on Fair Day

How to enter: Bring entries to Jonah Gym

Age Categories: Junior (through age 18) and Adult (19 and older)

Display time: Until the World Famous Auction (2:00 PM). Items still in the display
at
2:30 will be auctioned or donated.

Entry Criteria (Categories are shown at bottom of this page):

All vegetable & fruit & herb entries must be grown by the person entering them in the fair.    

Flower entries must be grown by the person entering them in the fair, OR by their friends or family, OR they may be wild picked (please be conscious of sustainably harvesting wildflowers – only pick 1 for every 20 stems that are present).

All flower entries must be in your own vase/container, & container will be considered in the judging of overall appearance.

Freshness

Health of Plant & Freedom from Injury

Flavor (for all edibles)

Prizes:  

Best of Show Flowers - John Opp Memorial Award

Best of Show Vegetable/Fruit

People’s Choice Awards

Blue/Red/White Ribbons

Native Plant Contest Winner:  This year’s contest is “Am I Edible?”  You will get points for correctly identifying the displayed native plants, knowing if they are edible or not, & for identifying which parts are edible.  Bonus points for how to prepare!  

Display & Judging Time:  

Veggie, Fruit, & Flower display from 10am-2pm

Native Plant Contest ends at 1:30pm, winner announced at 2pm

Items can be collected at 2pm. Anything still in the display at 2:30 will be auctioned or donated.

Please stop by early in the day and let us know what are your favorite veggie and fruit and flower varieties to grow in Trout Lake Valley – or feel free to email Krissy before the fair so that we can share those with everyone.
