Entry time: 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM on Fair Day

Drop off time for Seed to Swap: 7:30 AM to 11 AM on Fair Day

How to enter: Bring entries to Jonah Gym – be sure to allow enough time for check-in (5-15 minutes)

Age Categories: Junior (through age 18) and Adult (19 and older)

Display time: Until the World Famous Auction (10 AM to 2:00 PM).

Native plant contest ends at 1:30; winner announced at 2:00

Items can be collected at 2:00; items still in the display at 2:30 will be auctioned or donated.

Entry Criteria (Categories are shown at bottom of this page):

All vegetable & fruit & herb entries must be grown by the person entering them in the fair.    

 

 

Flower entries must be grown by the person entering them in the fair, OR by their friends or family, OR they may be wild picked (please be conscious of sustainably harvesting wildflowers – only pick 1 for every 20 stems that are present).

All flower entries must be in your own vase/container, & container will be considered in the judging of overall appearance.

Freshness

Health of Plant & Freedom from Injury

Flavor (for all edibles)

Creativity (presentation & choice of plants/containers)

Prizes:  

1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners in each category will be awarded Ribbons.

Best in Show Awards: Purple Rosette & prize.  Awarded by judges for the Blue Ribbon entry that they feel deserves recognition for Best in Show

Grand Prize: This is an award for the gardener who has tallied the most points based on number of ribbons won divided by their number of entries.
